About The Area
Overview
As the slightly smaller counterpart to its neighbor to the south, Falmouth, and its neighbor to the north, Yarmouth, Cumberland is a quiet and charming town often flying under the radar. Inland, you’ll find picturesque farms, serene wooded properties, and a well-ranked school system adored by its families. On the coast, an array of gently-sloping, picture-perfect homes look out at Casco bay for miles and miles.
The public spaces in Cumberland are aplenty—from the Cumberland Town Trails to Knight’s Pond Preserve. For quick errands, it’s a 5-10 minute drive to Falmouth, or a 15-20 minute drive to Portland. When you picture living in Maine, Cumberland might be exactly what you have in mind.
