As the western neighbors of Portland, Westbrook and Gorham rose to prowess many years ago as bustling mill towns. And as times have changed, this area has reinvented itself into a business hub that many call home. The recent Rock Row development in Westbrook, in particular, has brought a particular boom of economic activity, and the array of homes spread throughout the area continue to attract homebuyers of all kinds.
With a population of 18,000+, Westbrook is its own small city. Gorham is a bit quieter with about 7,000 people. Both are about 10-20 minutes from downtown Portland, and offer robust school systems for all ages, as well as various job opportunities with businesses old and new. Meanwhile, beautiful open spaces like Riverbank Park and Riverton Trolley Park deliver plenty of fresh air for two and four-legged friends alike.
